Ascension Via Christi Regional Burn center patients go through a lot as their caregivers adminster to them for often long periods of time. It is a momentous occasion when these patients have become stable and have healed enough to go home. Provident Hearts Foundation provides these survivors the gift of a handmade quilt on behalf of the staff at the burn center who have grown to love them.
Our hearts go out to these patients who endure a complex and often painful treatment process involving frequent wound cleaning, dressing changes, potential surgical procedures like skin grafting, physical therapy, and intensive pain management, all while navigating the psychological impact of severe burns. With the primary goal of healing wounds, minimizing scarring and restoring function to the affected areas this care often requires a multidisciplinary team. The dedicated specialists at the Ascension Via Christi Regional Burn Center provide advanced critical care and comprehensive burn treatment. They are the only dedicated burn care facility for adult and pediatric patients within 180 miles of Wichita. The Via Christi Burn unit provides emergency care for adults and children who have burns caused by fire, frostbite, inhalation injuries, electricity, and many other soft tissue injuries or infections.
Provident Hearts Foundation is honored to get the chance to work with the regional burn center by providing quilts to their patients. We depend on donations to produce these quilts. Your donation makes a difference
